JOeY Foundation invites families, friends, businesses, and community organizations to be part of the Downriver Holiday Tree Walk by sponsoring and decorating a tree in memory of someone special.
From December 12, 2026 through January 1, 2027, beautifully decorated and lighted trees will create a special place for our community to gather, remember, celebrate, and experience a little holiday JOeY.
Each tree will include a personalized sign displaying the name of the person being remembered. Then, make the tree your own! Bring your family, friends, coworkers, or group together to decorate it with ornaments, memories, and plenty of holiday cheer.
One tree. One special person. So many memories.

How Do I Sponsor A Holiday Tree?
Business Tree Sponsorship Includes:
One fresh-cut 5–6 ft. holiday tree, securely staked and beautifully lit with 300 holiday lights.
A personalized yard sign featuring your business name, displayed in front of your tree throughout the Tree Walk.
Businesses are encouraged to decorate their tree and add their own holiday personality! Decorations are optional, and we kindly ask that no additional lights or plug-in decorations be added.
Business Sponsor recognition on the Downriver Holiday Tree Walk website and through JOeY Foundation social media.
A special Downriver Holiday Tree Walk Business Sponsor sign to proudly display at your business—in a window or outdoors.
A commemorative JOeY Foundation 2026 Tree Lighting acrylic ornament as a keepsake from our very first Downriver Holiday Tree Walk.
Your Family Remembrance Tree Includes:
One fresh-cut 5–6 ft. holiday tree, securely staked and ready for you to make your own.
300 holiday lights, already strung on your tree.
A personalized remembrance sign displayed in front of your tree honoring the person you are remembering.
Decorating is optional—but we hope you’ll make it part of the experience! Add ornaments, photos, ribbons, keepsakes, or other decorations that celebrate your person and the memories you share.
Your remembrance sign will be printed using the information you provide on your Tree Reservation Form, so please double-check names and spelling before submitting.
Because trees and personalized signs are purchased specifically for each reservation, tree reservations are non-refundable. · There’s no “right” way to decorate your tree. Whether you add a few treasured ornaments or fill it with special memories, this is not a decorating competition—it’s about remembering your person in a way that feels meaningful to you.
To keep our Tree Walk safe and our lighting consistent, each tree will be provided with 300 lights. We kindly ask that you do not add additional lights or other plug-in decorations to your tree.
A Little Grace as We Begin
This is the very first Downriver Holiday Tree Walk, and while we have worked hard to think through every detail, we know we will be learning along the way. We appreciate your patience, understanding, and grace as we begin this new community tradition.
Most importantly, we understand that these trees are much more than holiday decorations. Each one represents someone who is loved, missed, and remembered. We will do everything we can to treat every tree—and every remembrance—with the care and respect it deserves.
